Bishop Fintan Gavin has provided the following guidance regarding funerals in the Diocese of Cork and Ross during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The government guidance for funerals has been updated to include the following:

Guidance for Holy Week and Easter liturgies in the Diocese of Cork and Ross has been issued to the priests of the diocese by Bishop Fintan Gavin.

“The new public health restrictions have changed our lives and ministry significantly. I know that “cocooning” is not easy for people who have to, and neither is isolation, but these steps are necessary to stop the spread of the virus and save lives.

Clocks advance one hour Sunday 29 March

Clocks advance 1 hour at 1am Sunday 20 March 2020Just a quick reminder that in Ireland the clocks will advance one hour at 01:00am on Sunday 29 March.

So if you would like to join us for the live stream broadcast for Mass at 09:30am, it will be an hour earlier.

If you can’t go to confession, take your sorrow directly to God, pope says

All public Weekend, weekday and Station Masses with a congregation are discontinued in the Diocese of Cork and Ross apart from funerals and weddings, until further notice.
